His Heart Is Racing

[Beautiful mixed-race heroine vs. aloof, cocky hero]

(The hero is only cocky and aloof toward people outside the heroine’s family.)

Hero’s perspective: From the first moment he saw her, a one-of-a-kind figure appeared in his eyes. Wherever she was, his gaze would follow her without him even realizing it. He knew she was the only one for him.

Heroine’s perspective: At first, the cool guy sitting behind her seemed surprisingly different from what she expected. He was handsome, too, but not her type.

Later, with the hero’s lips pressed against her neck: “I like you. You’re the only one I like.”
