A Log of Building a Secluded Paradise

After giving her life for her country in a hail of bullets, female special police officer Ling Wei opens her eyes to find herself in a remote valley cut off from the world. Towering cliffs rise before her, while steaming hot springs lie behind her. The valley enjoys springlike weather all year round.

There’s no System or magical storage space, just a hard-earned set of survival skills. From making fire by friction to building a furnace and smelting iron, from identifying herbs to laying out terraced fields, she puts her elite, state-level special forces training to perfect use in the wilderness.

While others scheme against their in-laws, she designs irrigation channels. While they fight for favor, she successfully brews the first batch of wine.

Wine is her reward to herself, and the only luxury in a chaotic age. True to her training as a special police officer, she drinks only a little and stays alert at all times.

Then one day, she finds a man covered in blood. He leaves after recovering, only to return and abandon the riches of the outside world. With a set of celadon wine cups in hand, he asks her beneath the moon:

“Miss Ling, might I have a cup of the wine you brew?”

From then on, she no longer drinks her mountain wine alone. And the secluded paradise she built with her own hands is about to receive its first “visitors”…

This is a heartwarming story of survival, building, protection, and two souls coming to understand and cherish one another amid tranquil mountains and waters.
