What’s it like to be bound to a gluttonous divine beast that only wants to drain your luck and make you die in an “accident”?
Lu Xiaocao: Thanks for asking. I’d just been thrown out by the Marquis’s household when the divine beast gave me a “die quick” package: a disfigured brother who was already on his last legs.
Lang Xuan: “Come on, die already! Once you’re dead, I can make a run for it!”
Who knew the little lucky koi would have such incredible luck? She finds money, rabbits, and benefactors, and somehow manages to turn a hopeless situation around!
Her God of War brother survives thanks to her and dotes on her like she’s his whole world. The General’s household adopts her as their daughter and treats her like a treasure.
Lang Xuan: “…Wait, this isn’t how the story’s supposed to go! How did I end up giving her divine power and helping her out?”
