The Eye of Hypnosis is an urban fantasy story exploring desire and redemption. Wang Zhiming, an insecure college student, gains the power of the “Eye of Hypnosis” from a mysterious demon, giving him the ability to control other people's minds. He turns Su Mengyao, the campus beauty he's always dreamed about, into a puppet who obeys his every command, takes wanton revenge for the humiliation he endured, and loses himself in the thrill of controlling everything.
But power always comes at a price. Under the effects of his deep control, Su Mengyao gradually loses herself and becomes an empty doll. Wang Zhiming, too, loses his true nature to power, his eyes turning an inhuman red. Only Li Qian, who sees the truth, fights back to save her closest friend.
In the end, neither side wins this battle of control and resistance. When the revelry ends, Su Mengyao is left with lasting trauma, and Wang Zhiming is burdened with profound guilt. What begins as a wish-fulfillment story about an otaku's rise from the start ultimately becomes a profound inquiry into the depths of human nature: true strength has never meant having the power to control others. It lies in the courage to face one's mistakes, and in the light of redemption that still chooses to protect others amid the ruins.
Very positive energy 👍🏻
