The story follows Lu Dan, a transmigrator from the real world who is forcibly recruited by Luffy as the crew's shipwright. After activating a golden finger called the “Unconscious Ability Absorption and Wacky Synthesis System,” he embarks on adventures alongside Luffy, using all sorts of bizarre abilities to support the crew. Along the way, his personal goal gradually grows from simply “staying alive” into an epic journey to join forces with the Revolutionary Army, overthrow the World Government, and help build a new world order.
