In 1937, in Shanghai’s French Concession, the “playboy detective” Chen Shaojie adopts the alias “Nine-Eared Hound” and navigates enemy territory. Through dangers including baited tests and having his identity exposed, he protects the city, becoming the “Nine-Eared Hound” who tracks down criminals from the shadows.
