A modern college student transmigrates into Zhu Cizhao, the fourth son of the Chongzhen Emperor. The Ming dynasty has only two years left. To escape the palace and build up his own power to protect himself, Zhu Cizhao sets out on a path of daring mischief, forcing the Chongzhen Emperor to send him away to rule a fief. He then recruits refugees, trains an army, fights off the Later Jin, quells rebellions, and saves the faltering Ming dynasty.
