In 2077, the "New Kyoto", the capital of tomorrow, was reduced to a cemetery of steel and flesh and blood. A biotech virus called "Shura" transforms the vast majority of citizens into "abnormals" - living corpses driven by out-of-control prosthetics within their bodies.
Ling Zhou, a former corporate data scavenger, woke up in an abandoned cryogenic sleep chamber with no memory of the disaster. He soon discovered that he possessed a unique neural interface, "Sequence Zero." This sequence allows him to sense and even interfere with the aberration's hive network.
In order to survive in the ruins of "New Kyoto", Ling Zhou must piece together his broken memories. However, he not only has to face the aberrations on the streets, but also has to avoid the pursuit of the giant company "Tianqiong Group" that caused this disaster.
