In Yaqing Village, deep in the mountains of southern Hunan, there is a centuries-old dark marriage curse: a young girl in the late Qing Dynasty was forcibly married to a young master who died young, and the "Crowqing Curse" was set before her death. Every thirty years, a living person must be chosen as a substitute, otherwise the whole village will suffer revenge from the evil spirit. Folklore reporter Lin Tang went to the village to find out the truth, but became a "bride stand-in" and disappeared, leaving only a note and a bone flute that said "When the bone flute sounds, the door to hell will open".
Editor Lin Zhan stepped into Yaqing Village in search of his sister, and faced the strangeness of the village: the howling old locust trees on rainy days, the faceless wooden signs in every household, and the gray ghosts chasing after them late at night.
