I want to explore the subtle distinction between "people who walk in time" and "people who walk in time". A picture of sentient beings that I long to try. In this picture, there is no absolute "center", only countless individuals running on their own destiny tracks. Everyone carries their own past and holds unique beliefs and goals; everyone makes judgments and takes actions based on their own cognition, emotions, and stance; more importantly, everyone firmly believes that their path is correct, and their choices will eventually lead to some sense of "success" or "fulfillment."
However, this is where the ruthless flow of history and the complexity of worldly affairs lie. When countless individuals with such firm beliefs meet, collide, cooperate, or compete on the same time and space stage, their will, actions, and expectations do not resonate harmoniously. Instead, they often conflict with, cancel each other out, or even go in opposite directions. Just like countless streams with different directions and uneven strength, merging into the same river, what must be stirred up are turbulent undercurrents and whirlpools. The result is that everyone lives an extremely difficult life, stumbling on their own paths, experiencing the ups and downs of life and the ridicule of fate. There are no pure winners or complete losers, only all living beings who are caught up in the tide of the times and struggle to survive in their own predicaments. This state of "all suffering" may be closer to my understanding of historical reality - it is not a simple binary opposition, but a complex picture of countless individual wills competing against and shaping each other against a grand background.
