From Spiritual Qi Revival to Slacking Off Across the Stars

August 13, 2026. Modern day. The Perseid meteor shower

A meteor shower changes Earth's magnetic field. It seems some unknown energy in the air is quietly nourishing a world left utterly ravaged by the development of modern technology.

Spiritual qi revival

Pure survival, cultivating immortality while keeping a low profile,

One consequence of spiritual qi revival is the leakage of spiritual qi.

At this point, Earth shines brightly on the radars of other advanced civilizations. It is no longer hidden in the chaotic universe as it once was. Earth's coordinates have been exposed to the cosmos.

The K'e Star System Alliance, billions upon billions of light-years away, discovers this primitive civilized planet. Insects, long-lived humanoids who are tall and beautiful (the snake-bodied, human-headed gods from ancient myths), elves, merfolk, dwarves? ⊙▽⊙... So myths weren't legends after all, they were just a little distorted in the retelling. The immortals weren't immortals, just aliens. ⊙▽⊙

Spiritual qi revival sends humanity's stagnant fundamental physics ever further down the path of superstition. A discovery in a laboratory 700 meters beneath Jiangmen shocks the world. Of course, the government initially tries to keep it secret.

Governments around the world form an emergency alliance. The interstellar age begins.
