Ayi, a post-95 Miao girl, gave up her job in the city and returned to her hometown in order to protect the Miao embroidery skills left by her grandmother. Faced with the plight of young people unwilling to learn and a sharp decline in orders, she embroidered Miao mythology into her works, and used short videos to bring Miao embroidery onto the international stage. Ultimately, it led to the inheritance of the work by village women, giving ancient embroidery threads a new cultural rebirth.
