Don’t Pick Up Random People in the Game

When eighteen-year-old Shen En Sui met Lin Xin in Sky: Children of the Light, she was struggling with the torment of bipolar disorder. This twenty-four-year-old doctor was like a ray of light shining into her gloomy world. From “brothers” in the game to pillars of support in real life, they became each other’s only salvation.

Until Shen En Sui’s condition worsened and she was admitted to a psychiatric hospital, abandoned by her ex and forgotten by the world. Through more than four hundred days and nights cut off from everyone, she could think of only one thing: had Lin Xin, too, chosen to leave at some point?

Outside the hospital walls, Lin Xin quietly guarded their seemingly hopeless relationship, enduring pressure from her family and doubt from the outside world. She went to the hospital every week to ask after Shen En Sui, and left messages in the game every day, proving through her actions that some people are worth waiting for.

When they reunited, Shen En Sui was no longer the boy who could only run away. She bravely went to Lin Xin and, like a “love-bandit,” domineeringly claimed every part of her life. Two broken souls comforted each other in a shattered reality, and in the end, pieced together a whole. Our secondary couple is delicious too 🥺
