Locked Heart, Bound to the Bone

[Two male leads + Republican-era warlords + ancient arts + forced love + mutual redemption + fated entanglement]

Su Qingyue accidentally trespasses into the territory of Mo Jinghong, a ruthless warlord, while trying to repair an ancient forbidden book that seals a vicious beast. A blood pact binds the two together: if Su Qingyue gets more than a step away from Mo Jinghong, his blood will reverse its course and he’ll bleed from every orifice!

“Run once, and I’ll break one twig.” Mo Jinghong grips his chin, his eyes filled with possessive obsession. “Run three times, and I’ll lock you in my arsenal, so you can watch me conquer the world every day.”

Su Qingyue nods obediently on the outside, while inwardly complaining: Who wants to watch you play warlord? Once I break this ridiculous pact, the first thing I’ll do is draw little turtles all over your collection of ancient books!

But while fleeing, he sees Mo Jinghong single-handedly slaughter an enemy faction to protect him. And amid the strife in the world of ancient arts, Su Qingyue uses his half-baked talismans to keep Mo Jinghong alive time and again…

As the truth behind the blood pact and the tangled history of their families slowly comes to light, the obsessive warlord pins him against his chest, eyes red. “Qingyue, I can give up the whole world. You can’t leave.”
