The story takes place fourteen years after the Condor Heroes lived in seclusion in the ancient tomb. When the Song Dynasty was overthrown, Guo Jing and Huang Rong left behind two divine weapons, Yitian Slaying Dragon, and entrusted them to Yang Guo's descendants Yang Feng and Yang Ying, as well as Guo Jing's grandson Zhou Guang. Six years later, Zhou Guang became the leader of the Beggar Clan and led the Beggar Clan to assist the Ming Cult.
