I also never expected my mech to be stolen after the match, or to be charged with “stealing federal property” and thrown in prison alongside Zero, the white-haired girl with a mysterious past who once saved my life.
Only when the cold handcuffs locked around my wrists did I understand:

The girl called Zero by my side is a forbidden force capable of igniting a spark among the stars.
