It tells the story of Zhang Yanqiu and his people traveling through mountains and rivers from Dunhuang to Yungang in troubled times after time travel to rescue cultural relics and repair historical sites. The common people have supported each other with their hard work, allowing the legacy of "culture among the people" to be passed down from generation to generation.
