Gu Anming feels conflicted about the man before him.
“You want me to regret my choice? No. It was nothing more than an ‘eternal slumber’ in the cool summer. We’ve lost so much along the way... This is the only one of countless timelines that leads to the happy ending we hoped for.”
He looks at his five-year-old sister, asleep in his arms.
“Then what do you want me to do to help you?”
“Heh... our great traveler, I want you to remember this moment...”

(I’m new to writing novels and have been struggling to find anything to read lately, so I’m writing this on a whim. The premise is fairly original, and I’ll update from time to time.)
