Preface
My name is Chen Fan.
Perhaps, this is no longer my name, but just a code name for a curse.
I thought death was the end, rest. It wasn't until I personally took over my grandfather's suicide note written in blood, until I saw my parents' stiff bodies hanging on the beams on that cold morning, and heard the heart-rending cries and screams played on a loop... That I realized that my death was not the end, but the beginning of a desperate journey with no end in sight.
Ghosts cannot be killed. Grandpa's blood book burns in my mind.
And I, a person who should have died, was dragged into an abyss deeper than death. The cold name on the yin marriage contract, the clatter of red embroidered shoes in the corridor late at night, the weird Buddha statue in the temple with an ever-increasing smile, and the old man on the street corner who slowly and slowly turned his head 180 degrees and exposed his hollow back to me...
They are all looking at me, entangling me, coveting my life that no longer belongs to them.
I struggled, I fled, and I searched for a slim chance of survival amidst the incomprehensible horror mysteries.
But hope is like a candle in the wind, being snuffed out time and time again.
When will my life be taken away? Will I still be able to see the next dawn? Or is it that I have already been exposed to eternal darkness, and this so-called "living" is just the cruelest tease before the evil ghost's meal?
This book "Ghosts and Heavens Open" records the desperate monologue of me, Chen Fan, a dying man struggling on the boundary between life and death with no end in sight.
