(Pokemon, Beedrill as the ace, slow burn, a few cheats)
Pokemon differ in many ways. On a grand scale, their species determine their base stats, types, and move pools. On a smaller scale, each individual has its own Individual Values. These things seem like towering walls dividing Pokemon into different ranks... Mo Bai used to think so too, until his fated Weedle used a move it shouldn’t have known, knocking his last Poke Ball away before challenging him to a battle.
Years later, after Mo Bai has stood in the arena time and again and faced countless powerful opponents, they all share the same reaction: “This Beedrill is full of openings. So why do I feel like I’ll lose the moment I make a move?”
The battle system of this book is a group battle. You can use as many as you can on the field (the limit is six). So far, the writing is pretty good, with daily routines and battles.
