After Marrying My Archenemy, I Was Kissed into Surrender

On their wedding night.

Xu Zi got drunk, and she and her trophy husband had an intensely heated night together.

Once she sobered up, she fled to England for a year to lie low.

After all, hers and Zhou Che’s was a marriage of convenience, forced by their families, with no love between them, let alone anything resembling married life.

In their first year of marriage,

rumors about Zhou Che were flying everywhere. Meanwhile, Xu Zi, his wife, went on dates with celebrities one day and dined with models the next. She even returned to the country without telling her trophy husband.

Their marriage existed in name only.

Xu Zi had always believed that she and Zhou Che saw each other as thorns in their sides, and that they had married only because their families had pressured them.

In their second year of marriage, Xu Zi opened an old school memoir in Zhou Che’s study, where everything was clearly recorded.

That night in the capital, heavy snow fell. Zhou Che stood before her, wrapped her scarf snugly around her, and kissed the snowflakes from her lashes.

[Marriage first, love later; both are each other’s one and only]
