Demon Slayer: Where Moonlight Falls, Demons Are Slain

[Demon Slayer fanfiction; everyone survives and the story follows the main plot. At the end, everyone killed by demons comes back to life. The only couples not broken up are Obanai and Mitsuri, and Kyojuro and Koi. The whole cast dotes on the protagonist; no romance in the main story; bonus chapters planned.]

Kagura was once a ray of moonlight, distant and unreachable in the heavens. Every now and then, she could hear the Shinto priests whispering their prayers.

And so, on a snowy night, she came.

Kagaya: I fear I don't have long to live.

Kagura: Those chosen by fate are destined for a long life.

When Kyojuro had to go on a mission, she didn't know what the “Mugen Train” was, but she figured she should go along anyway.

She knew nothing about the ways of the human world, so she had to learn bit by bit. Seeing how everyone said the name of a Breathing Style before making a move, she came up with one of her own.

That was why Gyutaro could never figure out, even as he lay dying, why Kagura's swordsmanship seemed just like a Blood Demon Art.

At Swordsmith Village, Kagura inhaled Doma's icy mist and still managed to use her Breathing Style. When Doma asked her about it, all he got was a thorough beating.

Meanwhile, Gyokko showed Tanjiro and Kyojuro his “masterpiece.” Who could have guessed that the two men, who had been getting beaten up just moments earlier, would suddenly awaken their Demon Slayer Marks? One came charging at him without a word, flames blazing all over his body, while the other asked three questions that cut straight to the soul:

“What’s fun about this? What’s so funny?! What do you think a life is worth?!”

Gyokko: Th-there must be some kind of misunderstanding...

When Muzan heard that evil deeds bring retribution, he let out a scornful laugh. “I've lived for over a thousand years. I've never seen a god, and I've never suffered any retribution.”

Nezuko raised her crimson blade high. “Muzan! Your retribution is here! Sun Breathing, Tenth Form: Beneficent Radiance!”

Humans: Alive.

Kagura: Good children.

Demons: Not dead.

Kagura: You're all constantly provoking me.
