In Xiangjiang, where neon lights and shadows intersect, retired soldier Chen Jiu started a night shift taxi to make a living. However, on the first night, he picked up a passenger who "didn't pay in cash but kept coins" - since then, his red taxi has become a "shuttle bus" between the yin and yang worlds. From the missing girl under the neon lights of Mong Kok, to the lonely and resentful ghosts on Victoria Peak, to the centuries-old obsession in the old buildings in Yau Ma Tei, Chen Jiu holds the steering wheel and shuttles through the fireworks and ghostly things in the world. He wants to prove his innocence when the police investigate the "supernatural taxi case". He has to deal with increasingly dangerous ghost commissions, and gradually uncovers the secret connection between his family and the Hong Kong territory and the balance of yin and yang. A battle of guardianship, with taxis as the battlefield and life as the bargaining chip, kicks off in the nightly night of Hong Kong.
