Jasmine Is a Little Sweet

Marriage First, Love Later | Workplace Romance | Sweet and Healing

"Let's sign an agreement. We'll divorce in a year."

At their first meeting, he is a stern criminal investigator, and she is a gentle civil servant.

A single contract binds two strangers beneath the same roof.

He thinks this is just a deal where each gets what they need,

until the light she leaves on late at night, and the warm bowl of porridge she serves him in the morning,

quietly melt the heart he has kept frozen for years.

When danger strikes, he shields her with his own body: "Don't be afraid. I'm here."

When her family pressures her to marry, he makes a solemn promise: "Marry me, not because of the agreement."

From the Civil Affairs Bureau to falling in love, the best kind of love turns out to be this:

you fuss, he smiles, and together you grow old through every meal and every season.
