In the foggy city, there is an old typewriter hidden in the underground archives of a century-old library. Every midnight, it will strike automatically without anyone touching it, and use faded ink ribbon to print out the last words of strangers. These words record the exact time, place and manner of death down to the minute. Over the past three years, all predictions have been confirmed. Recent clips have begun to contain repeated place names and personal pronouns, gradually piecing together a death scene that has not yet occurred. The same word is repeated stubbornly at the end of each paragraph - "voluntary". The papers were secretly filed away, forming an ever-growing collection of death prophecies, with the blank pages at the end waiting for a full name to be filled in.
