The Summer That Never Came, Love Sinking to the Bottom of the Sea

[Dual heroines, a touch of an ensemble cast, everyone is evil]

(The pure-love tag can’t be removed after signing, so just pretend it isn’t there.)

The slaughter on the battlefield, the person you love dying before your eyes, being chosen for the vampire headquarters as a child, landing a job everyone else dreams of having, only to find it isn’t so easy to hold on to. In the end, everyone will die. But they’re all just kids who have barely come of age.

Those who fall in love during war are doomed to a tragic ending. Corpses hang from the city walls, blood runs down to the ground and slowly dries. We, too, will eventually face death.

The righteous lose, and the villains win.

All living things are destined to perish.
