My Dreams Connect to the Entire Universe

[Hard sci-fi + entirely original + a brand-new system + interstellar adventure + wild imagination]

[This book contains extensive real-world scientific knowledge and has a strong educational element. If it isn't to your taste, please be gentle.]

Humanity is an intelligent civilization trapped in a corner of the universe. Its people are physically frail and technologically backward; some may never even leave the solar system in their entire lives.

The Hemen are a mysterious species in the universe. Nearly immortal, they travel among the stars as observers, taking on the roles of saviors, destroyers, and bystanders on countless intelligent worlds.

But what if I told you that the Hemen are humanity? Would you believe me?

Have you ever seen those strange and wondrous scenes in your dreams? “Sea creatures” living in oceans of liquid glass; “land plants” thousands of meters long, linking planets to their moons; “fallen civilizations” that have sunk their entire species into virtual worlds...

Why do things so unrelated to your life appear in your mind? They aren't illusions. Every one of them is something you truly experienced.

By day, you live on Earth as a human, an ordinary member of society. By night, you become one of the Hemen, traversing countless cosmic skies and absorbing an immense wealth of information.

Who are you? Who am I? Do you and I really exist?

I don't know the answer. But we are both searching.

Humanity is merely the shell we use to deceive “It.” And the Hemen will bear all the knowledge in the universe as they seek to reach the ultimate... truth.

My name is Zhen Shi. I have always been searching for the truth.

Even though... I am not real.
