In the near future, memories can be extracted and sealed in a server called the "Wall of Echoes." He is a "memory scavenger" whose job is to sneak into these memory corridors composed of data and remove those painful, illegal or forgotten memory fragments by the client. In order to pay for the high life support expenses of his wife Meng Yi, he took on a dangerous and well-paid task: to clear a level 4 contaminated memory code-named "Scarlet". However, when he went deep into this distorted memory, he discovered that the source of this scarlet was closely related to his wife's unresolved car accident.
