I transmigrated as the Chongzhen Emperor during the Jisi Incident, with Huang Taiji’s forces at the gates of Beijing.
At court, the officials did nothing but squabble. Inside the capital, both soldiers and military pay were in short supply.
Just as despair set in, I bound myself to the [Didi Mercenary System], which connected me to the living ancestors in parallel timelines.
From then on, my body became the cockpit of the Great Ming Dynasty.
Emperor Hongwu wielded a blade, determined to kill every corrupt official.
The Yongle Emperor commanded the troops, intent on conquering Liaodong.
Even the cultivation-obsessed Jiajing Emperor was eager to brew me a batch of immortality pills.
With my ancestors competing to outdo one another, I sit on the imperial throne and ponder: Who, exactly, should rule this Great Ming?
I've read a few chapters, but I haven't seen the climax yet. It feels good, not the kind of mindless and exciting novel. The restoration of historical figures is relatively objective. The setting of Jiajing Lao Dao, the first proxy player, is more reasonable, and the character is closer to Ming 1566. Overall very worth watching. I don't understand why no one reads such a good novel. I originally wanted to give it four stars, but I gave it five stars just to get more attention.
