Honkai: Star Rail: I'll Do Anything to Get Home

A few things to note, so please bear with me and read to the end.

(Don’t avoid this book because of careless reviews from some readers. The protagonist’s combat power increases to serve the plot. Most early assessments of his strength are just what other people assume. That’s meant to make players from another world more curious about him.)

(Updates are rather slow, but I absolutely won’t leave the story unfinished. Um, my writing style is a little literary, and my memory isn’t great, so I may get details from the original work wrong. But if you point something out, I’ll check it, and if you’re right, I’ll fix it.)

(I may rearrange some events. For instance, the Genius Society arc might take place after Belobog.)

After his mother falls gravely ill, Chen Nianhui quits his job. Then he unexpectedly drops dead, and, desperate to get home, he’s forced to enter the world of Honkai: Star Rail as a game character.

Having read countless novels, he eventually has no choice but to let down his friends on another Blue Star: he creates secret identities and makes them cry, over and over and over again.

“Distant starlight… tell me, do I count as a hero?”

“Even stars… still shine, don’t they?”

And so, players on another Blue Star encounter an even more heartless MiHoYo.

One screenwriter has this to say: “We really did want to write an uplifting, optimistic story, but the code started moving on its own.”

Even so, the tear-soaked tissues keep arriving in the mail.

“Damn you, MiHoYo! You have no heart.”

“Children, despise Otto, understand Otto, become Otto! All troops, charge with me into the Tree!”
