Su Xiaotang, the director of the pet hospital, deals with furries every day. His only trouble is the new suspense novelist Gu Zeyan who moved next door. He always stays in the clinic with his orange cat Nian Gao on the pretext of "observing cats' expressions for inspiration." It wasn't until Nian Gao accidentally ate rat poison and Gu Zeyan rushed into the hospital with the cat in his arms that Su Xiaotang saw the panic behind his calm shell.
