Vignettes: The Ambition System Is Pleased Again Today

Dom-focused BL + anthology-style stories + System + a whole lot of tropes (second chances, love at first sight, and more)

Have you ever heard of “ambition”?

In the eyes of the world, it is greed, covetousness, an insatiable hunger. But that is simply the most fitting destination one can find for oneself amid day after day of discontent.

Born into privilege and blessed with extraordinary talent, yet fate pinned him to the most ill-suited place of all.

1. [Showbiz] Career-driven and love-struck beauty seme & devoted, possessive wealthy benefactor uke (Complete)

The showbiz world’s most levelheaded careerist, until the benefactor he personally pushed away years ago, now a man of immense power, corners him in an empty dressing room. “Gu Yan, I’ll make you a star.”

2. [Ancient setting] Ambitious prince seme & seemingly gentle but secretly ruthless minister uke

The caged hawk trapped in the prince’s manor could never be tamed by fine clothes and lavish meals. Then he meets the minister who sees through his ambition at a glance. Smiling, the man brushes a fallen blossom from his shoulder and murmurs, “If Your Highness wants to ascend the throne, this servant... is willing to be your stepping stone.”

What is the best ending for ambition?

It is reshaping the map of the realm according to my will; it is seeing my reflection as the only one in the beautiful eyes of the one I love, amid all the glory.

The realm in my grasp, my beloved in my arms.

Only this is worthy of their torrential desire, burning fiercely until death.
