"Maha Zhi Kuan" is the core work of the wise master of the Tiantai Sect (538-597). Together with "The Profound Meaning of the Lotus" and "The Sentences of the Lotus", they are collectively known as the "Three Major Works of the Tiantai". The whole book is based on the theoretical foundation of "Three Thousand Thoughts" and "The Harmony of the Three Noble Truths", systematically expounds the practical system of "Samatha-Vipassana Dual Cultivation", integrates teachings and practical practices, and creates a complete form of the Chinese Buddhist Samma-Vipassana system. This book briefly explains the profound meaning of ancient Buddhism in modern language, combined with the ancestor's commentaries (such as Zhan Ran's "Maha Zhi-Guan Fu Xing Zhuan Hong Jue"), and explains the essentials of Zhi-Guan Dharma in volumes and chapters, aiming to enable readers to act according to the teachings and enter into reality.
