The Eighteen-Year-Old Empress Dowager Returns, and the Entire Dynasty Trembles

Ling Ran died, but then she came back to life.

What she never expected was that her memories would return.

Once the decisive empress dowager who ruled the court with an iron hand, she fell asleep from exhaustion after reviewing memorials and woke to find she had transmigrated to the modern world, where she lived for eighteen years.

Eighteen years later, she transmigrated back to the Great Qian, only to find that her children had all turned into delinquents.

Her eldest son, the emperor, is a violent tyrant who orders entire clans wiped out over the slightest disagreement.

Her second son, Prince Yong, is obsessed with becoming an immortal and has been swindled out of even his underwear.

Her third son, the carefree Prince, has become an effeminate man who prances about with a delicate little finger.

Her fourth son, the Defender General, is hopelessly lovesick and has picked every wild vegetable off the mountain.

Her youngest daughter, the Grand Princess, keeps eighteen pretty young men, among whom enemy spies are playing mahjong.

The eighteen-year-old empress dowager rolls up her sleeves and gives each of them a set of Eighteen Dragon-Subduing Palms, followed by a sound thrashing with her mother's iron rod. “If these brats won't behave, a good beating will sort them out. If that doesn't work, I'll use the whip.”

The tyrannical emperor clears his head. The superstitious Prince Yong turns into a model young man. The effeminate Prince starts wielding spears and staffs. The Defender General chants “Amitabha.” As for the youngest daughter: “Mother, these eighteen handsome young men are my gift to you. Please accept them.”
