Good Heavens, the Handsome Imperial Tutor Is Coughing Up Blood Again

[Reborn + two male leads + sickly gong + ten-year age gap + a little chasing-the-husband]

Beautiful, sickly, gentle tutor gong X pampered, reborn crown prince shou, full of regret

The stupidest thing Yun Changqing ever did was personally hand Shi Yan, who had traded the use of his right hand and half his life to save him, a cup of poisoned wine.

Ten years later, kneeling by Shi Yan’s grave and drinking the same poison, he finally understood: “So this is how much it hurt him.” As he closed his eyes, all he could see was twenty-year-old Shi Yan shielding ten-year-old him, blood from his severed tendons splashing onto Yun Changqing’s sleeve.

When he opened his eyes again, he was back in his youth, and Shi Yan was still alive. His hand was ruined, and he coughed so hard he might bring up a lung, but he was right there, gently asking, “Your Highness, would you like some sweet soup today?” Yun Changqing was overjoyed. He immediately tore up the words “There must be a distinction between ruler and subject,” and set about bringing tea and water and caring for him, determined to make up for everything he owed him in his previous life. He pursued his husband more earnestly than he had ever fought for the throne.

That is, until Shi Yan woke after an assassination attempt, looked at him with a gaze that had turned from tender to icy, and said, “Why would Your Majesty deign to lower himself?”

Yun Changqing: ??

Only then did it dawn on him: Oh no, it seemed Shi Yan, the man he had sentenced to death, had come back too.

Now his pursuit had turned into “coaxing a first love who came back to life and still holds a grudge.” First, he had to nurse Shi Yan’s ruined hand and chronic cough; then he had to atone for killing him in his past life. Every day, Yun Changqing bounced between “He didn’t give me the cold shoulder today” and “Is he going to bring up the poisoned wine again?”

(The political intrigue plot is pretty awful.) (Da Qi.) (Fictional setting, don’t take it too seriously.)
