A Little Bundle of Joy Came to Our House, Her Name Is Sizi!

Our home was visited by Little Princess Xiao Sizi, beloved by Li Shimin of the Tang Dynasty, and I was utterly stunned. I'm Xu Sheng, a 21st-century young man who just graduated from college and is currently unemployed. My parents left me a house in Guishen City, and for now I get by on the rent from my tenants. Since my parents have lived abroad for years and rarely come home, I was alone. A little after seven one evening, I got home and was about to open the door when I suddenly heard movement inside. The sweat on my forehead seemed to freeze. I carefully turned the lock and slowly pushed the door open, looking around, but nothing seemed out of place. I tiptoed toward my room. Halfway there, I heard a child humming in the kitchen. My heart lurched. Since this house was built, only my family had lived here. How could it be haunted, let alone by a child's ghost? Just as unease crept over me, I heard footsteps in the kitchen, drawing closer and closer. Then I found myself face-to-face with a little girl in red, dressed in what looked like ancient clothing, with a hairpin in her hair. She looked at me with big, watery eyes, put a hand to her mouth, and asked curiously, “Little Langjun, who are you?” After asking, she stared at me in confusion.
