The Things My Rival and I Can’t Help Getting Tangled Up In

[Kidnapped from the start, then falling hard later: unhinged romance]

Yu Wuxia is the Serpent God of Creation, a cold, ambitious overachiever whose lifelong dream is to kill his sworn enemy, the World-Destroying Serpent King Mo Li, who can ruin heaven and earth with a single move.

Then the two are betrayed by a villain and fall to the mortal realm, losing all their powers.

Yu Wuxia discovers that the only way to regain his power is to wrap his serpent body around Mo Li and sleep with him every night.

Yu Wuxia: “...I would rather die than give in.”

Mo Li, rolling over lazily: “Oh. Then stop taking up my space.”

Later, while Yu Wuxia is busy coiling around him, he suddenly discovers that he’s carrying an egg.

Yu Wuxia, on the verge of a breakdown: “...We’re both male snakes. What will people think?!”

Mo Li, instantly wide awake and frantically building a nest: “What a pain! My egg is naturally the best sleeper in the world!”

Later still, the gods descend to take their egg and destroy their nest.

For the first time, the World-Destroying Serpent King coils around them, shielding the Serpent God of Creation and their egg at the center. His crimson eyes blaze with a madness bent on destruction:

“Dare disturb my egg while it’s incubating?”

“Then you’re all dead.”
