Sacrifice of the Nine Palaces

The Nine Palaces of the Realm: Eight hundred years of dynastic cycles. “Above the Nine Palaces, no one is innocent. Beneath the schemes of power, all are offerings.” Five generations of political intrigue, three generations of revenge, and one empress.

A book of prophecies says that every emperor must read one page before ascending the throne, then burn it. No one knows what it says, but every emperor becomes cold and merciless after reading it.
