The Unbroken Shadow of Xi

The world has endured catastrophe. Heaven and earth have split, righteousness and wickedness stand opposed, and old grudges have endured for a hundred generations. The records of history are obscured by dust, truth and falsehood impossible to distinguish. Ancient powers lie hidden among ordinary folk, while undercurrents run deep.

At that time, warfires flare on every side, political schemes throw everything into chaos, and the central government teeters on the brink as the balance of the world is shaken. Every faction harbors its own ambitions: some vie for dominion, some seek vengeance for generations of wrongs, and others fight for a chance to survive in troubled times. They clash and kill one another, with no clear line between right and wrong.

Alliances shift overnight; once the benefits are gone, friends turn distant. Loyal souls are few, while treacherous schemers hold sway. The old order is crumbling, and no new one has taken its place. The fate of heaven and earth hangs by a thread. A storm sweeps across the world, and all living beings are swept up in its currents, waiting for the upheaval to unfold.
