A physics PhD named Yun Chen transmigrates to a cultivation world, bringing with him the Dao Evolution Technique, fused with the universe’s underlying code. While others toil away at cultivating profound arts, he uses the law of conservation of energy to debunk perpetual-motion techniques. While alchemists rely on their instincts to judge the heat, he uses controlled experiments to optimize the pill-refining process. From using mathematical models to break formations to using sociology to build factions, Yun Chen’s hard-core path of cultivation is both a crushing victory of scientific thinking over mystical systems and a fierce clash between two civilizations’ ways of understanding the world. Watch as he uses reason to unravel the Great Dao and, in mortal form, seeks the ultimate truths among the stars.
From rising through the outer sect to competing in the inner sect, then roaming the Spirit Realm and ascending to the Immortal Realm, Yun Chen uses formulas and deductions to take on traditional cultivation powerhouses and ancient Dao ancestors alike. Along the way, he also gains precious companions and deep bonds. Only as he gradually touches the universe’s underlying laws does he discover that the ultimate secret of this world is waiting for him to unlock it with the key of reason.
This is a hard-core fantasy story about using scientific methodology to upend the cultivation world’s chessboard and redefine the Great Dao.
