Ba Lu, the "evil dragon" in northern Burma, wanted to repay Nan Xi for helping him in the past. He won a bet with his life and rescued her from being kidnapped. He wanted to marry her. Nan Xi ran away in fear at first, but was repeatedly in danger, and was rescued by Ba Lu, and the two gradually fell in love.
