Apocalypse: I Am the Mechanical Emperor, the Silent Sovereign

The apocalypse arrives, and sound becomes a deathly summons.

As survivors struggle amid flying blood and flesh, I, Lin Xi, a former artifact restorer, quietly ascend to the throne of the apocalypse.

Ding! You have comprehended the law of “Mechanical Silence.”

The captain of the battle squad sees me as deadweight, until my field of silence lets her turn the tables when all seems lost. A medical doctor scoffs that I’m chasing an impossible dream, until the instruments I repair reveal the secret behind zombie evolution.

With gears and strings, I weave a concerto of death. The zombie horde parts for me, and powerful foes rot away in silence.

When the “King of Silence,” who commands a million corpses, arrives and tears the world apart with infrasound, all things wither.

Amid the frenzied wails of all living things, I raise the rusted pocket watch and announce softly:

“Welcome to my silent divine kingdom.”
