The World Is One Person, and One Person Is the World

The World Is One Person, and One Person Is the World centers on the reclusive master known as the Master, unfolding a magnificent vision of ruling the world through non-action. The Master's beauty is peerless and his literary and martial prowess surpasses all under heaven. Though he lives in seclusion in Xinglin Village, he holds the lifeblood of the Nine Provinces in his hands, and every breath he takes can set the court's fortunes shifting. The story unfolds across five volumes. In the "Seclusion" volume, the Master reveals his unfathomable depth, ending hostilities with apricot blossoms and cutting down inner demons with willow branches. In the "Influence" volume, powerful nobles join forces with an evil cult to spy on Xinglin Village, only to become trapped in an illusion of time and space where they must face their true selves. Finally, in the "Transformation" volume, the Master waves his sleeve at a summit of the world's powers, revealing the stars, then transforms into heaven and earth after leaving behind the words, "One person is the world." This invincible-protagonist tale uses the Master's divine solitude to explore the nature of power through political intrigue. Its ink-wash pastoral landscapes intertwine with surreal scenes to create a martial arts world unlike any other, steeped in Eastern philosophy.
