While making food from other worlds, he often runs into setbacks due to his inexperience, and misunderstandings with his otherworldly customers strain their relationships. Though he manages to resolve some crises in other worlds, interference from his enemies causes him to miss many opportunities. Still, with the help of his companions, Lu Xiaozhou draws on his logical mind and practical spirit to clear up misunderstandings and overcome obstacles. He strives to balance running his food stall with fighting his enemies, writing a legend that takes him from the bottom of society to adventures across worlds.
