After I Was Reported for Defusing a Bomb, I Was Suspended and Checked Out, and Now the Whole Team's Panicking

To defuse the bomb strapped to a female hostage, I had no choice but to cut off all her clothes.

My sweet, innocent wife, whom I’d only just married, put the whole thing online.

She tearfully demanded to know why I couldn’t have left the woman her underwear.

“I know you were saving her, but doesn’t a girl’s modesty matter?”

“There were so many cameras pointed at her. How is she supposed to face people after this? Couldn’t you have covered her with a piece of cloth?”

As the public outrage grew, my team suspended me to put an end to the controversy.

So I decided to stop trying and follow procedure to the letter, never again improvising in the field.

Until her mother was strapped to the latest model of a compound chain bomb in the busiest mall downtown.

Now the whole team was panicking.
