After the Heartthrob Used Me for Four Years, He Realized He Was the Real Clown

Just as the campus heartthrob I’d been chasing for four years was about to confess his feelings, I moved out overnight to avoid him. My best friend was indignant. “Why run? Why let him have four years of fun for free?”

I sipped my red wine, unbothered.

“Fu Hao may be a jerk, but he’s handsome, fit, and great in bed.”

“If a guy like that sleeps with an ordinary girl like me, and I don’t ask for a title or money, doesn’t that mean I’m the one using him?”

Through my drunken haze, I caught sight of Fu Hao’s livid face.

Later, I went on a date with an upperclassman at a café.

Fu Hao sat at the next table and sneered, “Song Ran, how come you’ve gone so far downhill? Is this the kind of guy you have to settle for now?”
