In some unknown year AD, Liu Bei, wearing flip-flops and beach shorts, Zhang Fei, dressed in a little girl's outfit with a full beard and muscles all over, and Guan Yu, who had ridden his bicycle from a thousand kilometers away, swore brotherhood beneath a peach tree in a peach orchard!

After they cried, "We were not born on the same year, month, and day, but may we die on the same year, month, and day," the three of them had drunk so much 1982 Niulanshan Erguotou that their mouths felt parched. They grabbed the peaches from the offering table and wolfed them down.

As a result, all three died of poisoning.

The wind rustled the peach tree leaves. Sunlight streamed through the branches and fell on a sign beneath a nearby peach tree. Its red lettering had faded a little in the sun. It read: "Treated with pesticides. Do not eat. Left by the farmstay owner."
