You Asked Me to Build a Civilization, So Why Am I Recruiting Ultimate Abominations?

Fang Xiao transmigrates to the Age of Awakening of Nations and starts with a worthless civilization. He thinks his prospects are bleak.

[Ding! The Billion-Civilization Enhancement System has activated. Your civilization has received a thousandfold boost!]

[Ding! Your Stone Age village has advanced into the Primordial Heavenly Court!]

While other civilizations are still taming wild oxen, his is already appointing gods to rule over mountains and rivers!

When a million enemy cavalrymen from an alliance surround his city and mock him for having no reinforcements

The sky splits open, and thunderclouds roil!

The Celestial Worthy of Universalization of Thunder from the Nine Heavens, Wen Zhong, leads a million heavenly soldiers through the clouds. His voice thunders across the heavens: “What insects dare defile my lord’s way?”

It is only after building an alliance that he realizes how absurd the System’s “Myriad Worlds Recruitment” reward is

“Bu Yao Bi Lian” uploads the secret art Golden Light Mantra!

“The First Dragon of Great Qin” gifts him three thousand Iron Hawk Guards!

“Spider Girl” wants to know how many points her divine power crystals can be exchanged for...

Fang Xiao looks at his allies, a collection of “ultimate oddities” with wildly different styles, then at the Primordial World idling away in the background. He falls into deep thought:

“Weren’t we supposed to be fighting for supremacy among nations... So why do I feel like I’m registering households for the Myriad Worlds?”
