Gu Poison Is Forbidden in Harbor City

[Next matriarch of the Miaojiang clan × Hong Kong City’s heir apparent]

[Hong Kong society + Miaojiang + Gu poisons + a sinister, ghostly woman + mending a broken relationship + a child]

Four years ago, while on a business trip to the southwest, Yu Zhaoye got involved with someone he shouldn’t have.

She said she didn’t know how to use Gu.

Yu Zhaoye believed her.

Four years later, they met again in Hong Kong City. She wore a white dress, looking thin and sickly.

People said she really was ill. From the day he broke his promise, she had been sick for three whole years, beyond the reach of any medicine.

Yu Zhaoye’s heart twisted with pain, but he didn’t dare acknowledge her. With a casual “I don’t know you,” he fled in disarray.

But he never imagined she had come to kill him.

Lan Wanyin left Tongque Mountain for the first time, traveling a thousand miles to find the man who had broken his promise.

Hong Kong City was a glittering, extravagant place. On a typhoon day, she engineered a reunion with that man.

But he said he didn’t know her.

Fine.

Love Gu was made to kill faithless men.

Lan Wanyin released her Gu worms, intending to strangle the faithless scoundrel on the spot. But the worms told her that Love Gu couldn’t kill him.

Lan Wanyin refused to accept it.

Her mother couldn’t bear to watch her torment herself.

“Ayin, do you really want to kill him?”

Lan Wanyin: “Yes. If I catch him, I’ll kill him.”

But when the man really did fall into her hands, she locked away the Gu worms that were itching to attack.

“I’m leaving. I won’t come back to Hong Kong City again.”

They met again at her inauguration ceremony as clan matriarch.

She planted her foot on the man beneath her.

“I let you off once already. If you provoke me again, I really will kill you.”

The man smiled as he caught her blade, then pulled out a crumpled photograph.

“Who is this child?”

She smiled. “Yu Zhaoye, don’t you know? Four years ago, we had a child.”

In truth, she had deliberately left that photograph behind.
