Reincarnation on the Other Shore of the River of Oblivion

· Ling Suxue (female lead): The heart of the story. She is the key to maintaining the balance of the River of Forgetfulness.

· Mo Yuan (male lead): Guardian of the River of Forgetfulness, with the power to manipulate memories and dreams. Bound to the riverbank by an ancient pact, he has kept watch alone for a thousand years, waiting for the one destined to break the cycle of fate.

· Chi Yan (male supporting character): The strongest ferryman in the underworld, responsible for guiding souls across. Unruly and powerful, he has no respect for the rules. He and Mo Yuan disagree on principle, yet he shares an unexpected connection with Ling Suxue.

· Meng Po (important supporting character): Not the traditional old woman, but a mysterious and elegant “memory keeper.” She guards the ultimate secret of reincarnation, and her true identity is closely tied to the ancient war between the gods.

Worldbuilding:

· The Three Realms and Six Paths: The heavenly realm, human realm, and underworld make up the central world, and the cycle of reincarnation through the Six Paths is its fundamental law.

· The River of Forgetfulness: More than a boundary between yin and yang, it is the physical embodiment of memory and time. Its waters carry the memories of all who reincarnate, and its balance is vital to the stability of the Three Realms.

· Flowers of the Other Shore: They bloom on both banks of the River of Forgetfulness and come in two varieties: “Flowers of Memory” (red) and “Flowers of Oblivion” (white). They possess a mysterious power to alter memories.

· The Law of Reincarnation: The dead must drink Meng Po’s Soup to wash away their memories before reincarnating. However, those with particularly powerful obsessions, or certain special beings, can retain some memories in their next life.
